About Cullen Guilmartin
Mr. Guilmartin is a partner in the Connecticut office of Gordon & Rees, LLP and handles a wide range of litigation matters, including defending claims against manufacturers of complex commercial machinery, medical devices, consumer products and pharmaceuticals. He has handled complex personal injury suits involving alleged catastrophic injuries, including wrongful death and survivorship claims. He also has experience defending property claims involving significant premises damages and economic loss. Mr. Guilmartin also advises and represents clients on a variety of product liability law issues with a particular emphasis in the areas of product recalls and product safety. Mr. Guilmartin has taken an active role as coordinating liaison counsel for over 100 law firms and 150 defendants in toxic tort litigation in Connecticut. In this capacity, Mr. Guilmartin coordinates with the Court and all plaintiffs' counsel regarding docket management, discovery, medical workup, motion practice and trial preparation. Although, Mr. Guilmartin primarily practices in the areas of product liability law, toxic tort and mass-tort litigation, Mr. Guilmartin has experience litigating complex business litigation matters, including premise liability matters, consumer fraud actions, construction injury and defect matters, employment matters and class action lawsuits. He has represented clients whose legal service needs straddle both ends of the spectrum-- from various Fortune 500 companies to family-owned local businesses. In addition to defending claims, Mr. Guilmartin has pursued certain claims for clients who allege catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice and property damage.
