About Robert Tobey
Since 1980, I have specialized in handling commercial litigation matters in courts and in arbitration, including business to business disputes and claims involving the prosecution and defense of professional malpractice and fee disputes. I represent individuals as well as small and large businesses and handle cases on contingent, hourly and hybrid fee arrangements. We are there for our clients and fight for them every step of the way! For years, I have been heavily involved in Bar work and am the 2020 President of the Dallas Bar Association. Before serving as President, I was elected to the Board of Directors in 2011 and served as Chair of the Board in 2016. In addition, I was a Co-Chair of the 2015 Equal Access to Justice Campaign, which was the first to raise over $1,000,000 to provide legal services to the poor through the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program. I have also Chaired the DBA Business Litigation, Tort and Insurance Practice and Trial Skills Sections, and the DBA Bench Bar, Transition to Law, CLE and Judiciary Committees. Bar work will always be a passion for me! Alzheimer’s disease has greatly impacted my family. I was Chair of the Advisory Board of the Greater Dallas Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association in 2017 and 2018 and remain on the Board to this day. We are working hard to make a difference in the fight against this terrible disease!
