About Stacey Reese
I founded Stacey Reese Law in 2013 after working for over six years in the litigation section of a prominent Austin-based firm. I have been selected by Texas Super Lawyers as a "Rising Star" in business litigation in 2014-2016 and Super Lawyer in 2020-2026, and have been named one of the 18 best Austin litigators by Expertise in 2017 and 2018. I serve on the Board of Directors of the Civil Litigation Section of the Austin Bar Association.I represent both plaintiffs and defendants in a broad range of civil litigation matters with a strong emphasis on business and commercial disputes and water-related litigation. My business and commercial case experience includes high-value contract disputes, intellectual property, fraud, tortious interference, and breach of fiduciary duties. My water practice concentrates on the complex and rapidly evolving area of groundwater law. My representation includes general counsel services to groundwater conservation districts as well representation of private clients in all faucets of groundwater litigation including permitting issues, “takings” claims, contested case hearings, and administrative appeals. I am also retained frequently by local firms as a critical member of their trial team on complex litigation matters. In my litigation practice, I have represented Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, entrepreneurs, and individuals in state court, federal court, administrative law proceedings, mediation, and arbitration.
