About Mike Golden

Mike Golden is a lecturer and the Director of Advocacy at the University of Texas School of Law. Professor Golden practiced as a trial lawyer for 20 years in Austin before joining the faculty full time in 2022. He began his time in private practice with Vinson & Elkins, where he worked as an employment litigation associate before founding the law firm of Boulette & Golden, now known as Boulette Golden & Marin. He has extensive experience in civil trial and appeals, mediation, and arbitration, as well as litigating before administrative agencies. Professor Golden also served as an adjunct professor at Texas Law from 2004 to 2022 teaching courses such as Trial Advocacy Survey, ADR, and Advocacy Outside the Courtroom. He heads the John L. Hill Trial Advocacy Center; teaches courses in trial advocacy and Texas Civil Procedure; and serves as the faculty sponsor for Texas Law’s interscholastic mock trial and moot court programs, as well as the Board of Advocates. Professor Golden received a B.A. from Georgetown University and a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. While at Texas Law, he was a mock trial national champion, a Chancellor, a member of the Order of Barristers, and a member of the Texas Law Review.
