Daniel P. Barton is the owner and lead trial lawyer for the Barton Law Firm in Houston, Texas. Mr. Barton has tried personal injury cases and insurance property damage cases nationally and locally for over twenty years. E.I. DuPont De Nemours & Co. for being the largest workplace safety verdict in the State of Texas in 2012. Mr. Barton also won the largest insurance law verdict reported by verdict search and the Texas Lawyer for $2,737,817 in a first party commercial insurance case styled Sanatan Shiv Shakti Mandir d/b/a Ash v. Sirius International Insurance Company. The jury award included attorney’s fees and a knowing violation of the insurance code. Mr. Barton is the only lawyer in Texas to win #1 verdicts two consecutive years in two different categories reported by verdict search according to their staff. Mr. Barton was formerly on the State Farm Insurance Co MDL steering committee during the hurricane Ike litigation in Houston.
