About Richard Hunt
I have a national litigation practice defending claims brought by private litigants, state agencies and the Department Justice under the Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Fair Housing Act as well as other business and commercial disputes. I've been practicing law for more than 40 years, so I know how to help my clients avoid litigation if possible and fight if necessary. Those clients include Fortune 500 as well as regional and local developers, property management companies and other businesses that appreciate the prompt personal treatment I provide in every case. Because I am deeply interested in the way businesses of all kinds are affected by the ADA and FHA I write and speak frequently to legal and industry groups on these statutes. My blog, Accessibility Defense (accessdefense.com), provides up to date information and analysis of cases concerning these statutes, and I have been interviewed by (among others), Forbes and The Economist on issues related to ADA litigation. I am Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and served for many years on the examination committee that specialty.
