About Elizabeth Pratt
I am an employment law specialist, immersed in this field since 1992. I serve as a high level coach for executives and professionals in a broad range of workplace situations, as well as a compliance advisor, advocate, and investigator for businesses. I have been Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law since 1997. My litigation experience covers a broad range of statutory and common law employment claims, with special emphasis on multiple types of alleged retaliation and claims under the ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA , TCHRA, and Title VII. My practice also includes a long history of successfully representing businesses in government investigations conducted by the DOL, EEOC, OSHA, and the Texas Workforce Commission. I enjoy the challenge of protecting a client's interests in active disputes, but also enjoy the daily challenge of proactively keeping businesses out of trouble through implementation of sound policies and practices, drafting and negotiating advantageous contracts, audits of various HR practices, managing problematic situations in a practical and legal manner, assisting with and conducting internal investigations, and providing counsel to minimize claim exposure related to employee terminations. I also provide customized training for all levels of personnel to educate everyone concerning workplace rights and responsibilities. I also work with professionals and executives, assisting with negotiating work-related contracts, including severance proposals and non-competes.
