About Greg Grisham
For more than 30 years, employers have relied on Greg Grisham for the counsel they need when it counts—providing timely, practical guidance and standing ready to defend their interests in court when the stakes are highest. He partners with companies in Tennessee and across the country to untangle their most complex workforce challenges, pairing deep legal knowledge with practical, business-driven judgment that keeps employers compliant, competitive, and protected. Greg also brings advanced training and real-world experience with AI tools to his practice—sharpening efficiency, and strengthening risk analysis, that matter most to his clients. His practice covers the full terrain of workplace law. Greg counsels employers on heading off claims before they start, advising on discipline, termination, promotions, and investigations so businesses can act decisively while keeping their practices legally defensible. When disputes do reach the courtroom, he delivers: over a career spanning hundreds of charges and lawsuits, he has defended employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, breach of contract, wage and hour violations, defamation, and invasion of privacy. Greg is a go-to litigator for protecting what companies can't afford to lose. He prosecutes and defends trade secret claims and enforces post-employment restrictive covenants—non-compete, non-solicitation, and non-disclosure agreements—handling everything from emergency injunctive relief to the long game of safeguarding confidential information and customer relationships. That track record hasn't gone unnoticed. Greg holds an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has earned recognition in Chambers USA, Mid-South Super Lawyers, and Best Lawyers in America. He has been named one of LawDragon's 500 Leading U.S. Corporate Employment Lawyers and, by LawDragon and Human Resource Executive Magazine, one of the Top 20 Lawyers in the United States in Traditional Labor & Employment Law. A Fellow of both the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and the American Bar Foundation, he is also a member of the American Employment Law Council. He has led at the bar as well, serving as Chair of the Memphis Bar Association's L & Section and as Chair—and current Executive Committee member—of the Tennessee Bar Association's L & E Section. Greg earned his J.D. with honors from the University of Memphis, where he served on the Law Review.
