Christopher Mixon

For a combined period of over 15 years, I have served as General Counsel for two leading global U.S. based law firms. Until April 2026, I was General Counsel for Ogletree Deakins, an international labor & employment law firm with 59 offices through the United States, and in Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. As the global chief legal officer for the firm, I was the principal legal advisor to the firm’s Managing Shareholder, Board of Directors, and management, and I oversaw all litigation and other legal matters involving the firm and its lawyers, both domestically and abroad. In April 2026, after a total of 23 years with Ogletree Deakins, I accepted an opportunity to become Partner and U.S. General Counsel for global general practice firm Reed Smith LLP. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join this incredible organization.
