About Frank Weissbarth
I am a practicing lawyer whose work primarily involves representing governmental entities in litigation. For many years I served as an Assistant Attorney General, handling consumer, regulatory, licensing and other litigation. I then served as General Counsel for New Mexico's Children, Youth and Families Department. I am also an ardent angler and conservationist. My passions including fishing for trout, particularly native cutthroats in small back country streams, photography, hiking, backpacking and cycling. I am the author of Holy Ghost Creek (UNM Press 2004), a collection of essays about fishing in the small streams of northern New Mexico and southern Colorado as well as numerous articles, and I am currently working on a second book about fishing, the changing environment, and family ties. I am married to Randy Weissbarth and we have three sons and one granddaughter. We have lived in Santa Fe for the past 30 years.
