Torrey Gerdes

I am a partner and a chair of the firm's employment practice group. I assist clients in navigating complex issues to manage risk and achieve their goals to avoid claims, throughout discovery, in settlement, and during trial if necessary. My practice focuses on counseling and, when necessary, defending individuals, political subdivisions, business clients, executives, and professionals in employment, professional malpractice, municipal/political subdivision litigation, premises liability, and other tort claims. I am admitted to practice in the State of Nebraska, the State of Iowa, and the United States District Court, District of Nebraska. I am a member of the the NSBA Employment and Labor Executive Committee, International Association of Defense Counsel, Nebraska Defense Counsel Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Lincoln Bar Association, the Nebraska State Bar Association, and the Iowa State Bar Association. I am a member of the Robert Van Pelt American Inn of Court, which group of judges, attorneys, and law students meets monthly to promote professionalism, civility, and ethics.I was raised on a family farm in Eustis, Nebraska.
