Debbie Taussig

Helping clients recover from serious or catastrophic injuries has been the focus of my career and the driving force behind founding Debbie Taussig Law, Boulder’s only woman-owned personal injury law firm. I built this firm to provide clients with individualized attention and support, combining determined advocacy with empathy, integrity, and practical guidance. I handle serious, catastrophic injuries, including spinal injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and complex orthopedic cases. I help clients access resources beyond legal representation, ensuring they receive the right medical care and support while we manage the legal process. Insurance companies know my reputation, often resulting in policy limit offers and favorable outcomes for our clients. I keep the firm intentionally small so each client receives the attention they deserve. Over my career, I have served the Colorado legal community in many ways. I am a past president of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association (CTLA) and remain active in both CTLA & the Women Trial Lawyers Association. In 2009, I received the CTLA New Trial Lawyer of the Year Award, and in 2012, I was selected to serve on the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice. I am a 2003 graduate of the Trial Lawyers College, a program founded by Gerry Spence for trial lawyers committed to the jury system and protecting individual rights. I serve on the board of the Boulder County Bar Association and am a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the Colorado Women’s Bar Association, & the Boulder Bar Association. I am admitted to practice in the Colorado Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for Colorado, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. I have been recognized by Super Lawyers from 2017 through 2026 and named among the Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyers in Colorado in 2025. These honors reflect the consistent commitment my team and I bring to every client. I approach each case with a solution-focused mindset. Our team helps clients achieve their recovery goals while managing the legal and logistical challenges of their case. We provide clear guidance, advocate vigorously when needed, and ensure clients feel supported and confident. Our culture fosters collaboration, positivity, and focus on what matters most: the clients and their recovery. Outside work, I enjoy hiking, cooking, entertaining, and traveling to Maui. I am a devoted Broncos fan, a fashion enthusiast, and caretaker of four rescue huskies. These passions fuel my energy, creativity, and dedication to every client who entrusts their case to me.
