About Shawn Cole
100% of Mrs. Cole’s law practice is devoted to workers’ compensation and employment-related matters with the exception of pro bono legal work through the Alabama Volunteer Lawyers Program and other entities that identify legal needs for those with limited financial means. Mrs. Cole represents insurance companies, corporations and other businesses, both large and small, throughout Alabama in a variety of insurance related legal matters including consultations on preventative measures to alleviate on the job injuries and to counsel businesses on handling work-related claims prior to litigation. Mrs. Cole is experienced in both private practice and as in-house counsel dealing with litigation and regulatory compliance matters for companies that underwrite workers' compensation and employers' liability coverage. Mrs. Cole is a frequent lecturer on workers’ compensation issues at conferences and in-house training seminars for employers and insurers focusing on a broad spectrum of issues including, but not limited to, proactive handling of claims, ethical handling of claims and legal matters, and controlling legal and claims costs. Mrs. Cole is a member of the Alabama State Bar Association, Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, Alabama Workers’ Compensation Defense Lawyers Association, and the Montgomery County Bar Association.
