Honored to have been selected to Best Lawyers In America, my practice has focused on corporate and insurance defense litigation primarily, with my specialties including products liability defense, intellectual property matters, chemical exposures, defense of pest control operators, both insured and self-insured, trucking accident and investigations, defense of retailers, employment law (including substantial restrictive covenant expertise), medical malpractice defense, construction defects, asbestos and silicosis cases, insurance coverage and defense, bad faith insurance defense, environmental law and regulation, mold exposures for commercial property owners, specialty aviation cases, nursing home defense and malpractice, workers' compensation defense and corporate litigation. I have represented and defended the pest control industry since becoming a lawyer in 1983, handling over 700 such cases, including, as national defense counsel, defending some of the country's largest national and regional pest control operators in cases throughout the country. Responsible for some of the major defense verdicts for pest control operators over the last two decades, both as national, regional or state counsel for operators and their insurers, including the defeat of major class action litigation. . As an aircraft owner and licensed pilot, and approved attorney by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, I have also handled litigation matters ranging from pilot licensing and medical certificate issues before the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board up to and including the defense of engine manufacturers, charter airlines and major carriers in litigation ranging from terminal contract issues and airframe/powerplant repair disputes to major crash litigation.
