I am the senior lawyer in the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Practice at Barack Ferrazzano Kirschbaum & Nagelberg, LLP in Chicago. Most of my thirty-five years as a lawyer have been in the bankruptcy and insolvency field. Over that span of time I have represented Chapter 11 debtors in the retail, hospitality, manufacturing, and oil and gas sectors, official and unofficial committees of unsecured creditors, asset purchasers in sales under Section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code, and defendants in fraudulent transfer and preference actions brought in the bankruptcy court. More recently, I have focused on representing secured creditors in real estate cases, typically involving multi-family housing, senior living, and office and industrial properties, and representing landlords of commercial properties.
