Luke Behme

I graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law and am licensed to practice law in Illinois. I received an International Law Certificate along with a concentration in business transactions and planning as well as a concentration in taxation and estate planning. I grew up in Carlinville, Illinois assisting a self-employed Certified Public Accountant, who worked primarily with farmers and small businesses. As part of my 4-H and FFA projects, I started a technology consulting business as a part of the accounting firm. I would meet with clients in order to determine their computer and technological needs. I would then design and install systems ranging from basic computer systems to GPS tracking for trucking companies. I also learned to build and maintain computer systems and developed a familiarity with a wide range of software including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where I was one of the first students to receive a minor in International Agriculture, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES). I was the president, and one of the founding members, of the ACES Global Ambassadors student organization as well as a vice president for the College of ACES Student Council and a member of the Student Advancement Committee. I worked for the Illinois State 4-H Office and a professor performing computer work and financial record keeping. After graduating from U of I, I went to law school where I had the opportunity to clerk for both the Illinois Attorney General: Asbestos Litigation and Tobacco Enforcement Bureau as well as a small personal injury law firm. I gained a wide variety of legal experience including research and writing, litigation file reconstruction and government structure.
