Jonathan Vegosen

Jon is a Member of international law firm, Clark Hill. He is part of the Labor & Employment business unit of Clark Hill and also does estate planning and handles various corporate matters. Jon was a co-founding member of Funkhouser Vegosen Liebman & Dunn Ltd. (“FVLD”), a nationally known and respected Chicago-based law firm with a broad corporate and litigation practice. He served on FVLD’s management committee for 40 years and was co-managing partner for approximately eight years. He had a major role in shaping FVLD’s culture and its dedication to its clients, professionals and staff. In July of 2023, FVLD combined with Clark Hill. Jon has extensive experience working with companies, professional firms, not-for-profit organizations, and boards of directors on employment law issues such as the prevention and investigation of harassment; the importance of documentation; effective interviewing; and diversity and inclusion. Jon has conducted insightful and engaging trainings and workshops on employment issues and board effectiveness for numerous clients, boards, professional groups, and associations, including Vistage International, the Illinois CPA Society, the Chicago Tax Club, the Tax Executives Institute, and CPE University™. Jon not only speaks widely but also he has authored several articles for various publications on topics such as employment law and confidentiality, non-competition, and separation agreements. Jon has received the highest professional peer review ratings, has been designated as a Leading Lawyer in Employment Law by the Leading Lawyers Network for many years, and has been chosen as a Super Lawyer in Illinois in employment law since 2016. He has been a member of CEO peer advisory organization Vistage International since 2002 and a Vistage Speaker since 2004. He received the 2022 Vistage Lifetime Achievement Award for the Chicago Region. Jon has extensive board experience, including serving as Chairman of the Board, President, and CEO of the United States Tennis Association in 2011 and 2012. He has been the Chairman of the Board of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association since December of 2015. Jon also has served on the Grand Slam Board and the boards of the International Tennis Federation, the International Tennis Hall of Fame, the USTA Foundation, the USTA Midwest Section, the Chicago District Tennis Association, and the Standard Club. He is a Director for Life of JCYS. Jon has been inducted into four tennis halls of fame and received many awards for his outstanding service to the sport of tennis.
