Matthew Champlin

As an experienced civil litigator in some of the most litigious jurisdictions in the United States, I have an extensive history representing both companies and individuals in complex and high-stakes litigation. My current practice includes the defense of cases involving personal injury/wrongful death, premises liability, products liability, pubic utility liability, municipal liability, construction/real estate, and appeals. I am a member of DRI, the Appellate Lawyers Association, and the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel (IDC), on which I serve as the Insurance Law Committee chairperson and a regular contributor/columnist for the IDC Quarterly publication. I have been recognized as an Illinois Leading Lawyer since 2017, and I serve as an arbitrator in Madison County's mandatory arbitration program. I also currently serve as the Village of Glen Carbon's Municipal Adjudication Officer, hearing cases involving violations of Village ordinances.
