Joseph Kish

Joe has extensive trial and appellate experience in federal and state courts, as well as alternative dispute resolution experience involving mediation and arbitration. Joe's areas of expertise include complex commercial and financial litigation, intellectual property litigation, including patent, trade dress, trademark, copyright, and trade secrets, class actions, technology, cyber, data breach, and restrictive covenant litigation. Joe is licensed to practice in Illinois and California, as well as the United States Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Ninth Circuits, the United States District Court for the Northern District Court of Illinois, including its Trial Bar, the Central District of Illinois, the Northern, Central, Eastern and Southern Districts of California, the Eastern District of Michigan, the Eastern District of Wisconsin, and the District of Colorado. Joe has been a faculty member for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy for 15 years and has also taught numerous continuing education courses in various areas of litigation, intellectual property and employment law. He has also written and lectured extensively on various aspects of intellectual property, employment law, internet liability and business and commercial litigation. Joe is currently the General Editor of Business and Commercial Litigation for the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education (IICLE), has authored chapters on expert witnesses for IICLE, libel and slander for California Causes of Action and has been quoted in numerous publications of divergent interests including Macworld, Business Insurance and BNA Litigation Reporter.
