Vanessa Kelly

Vanessa M. Kelly is a member of the Labor & Employment Group at Clark Hill PLC, a full-service law firm with attorneys and professionals throughout the United States. She has over 25 years of experience in providing legal services to employers in all areas of employment law, including risk assessment and avoidance, disability accommodation, workplace misconduct, terminations, reductions in force, and policy implementation. She represents employers before federal and state courts, administrative agencies, and before arbitration tribunals in defense of discrimination, whistleblower, or breach of contract disputes. She is also a certified Title IX Investigator and Hearing Officer and a AAA Employment Arbitrator. Vanessa is a Martindale Hubbell® AV Preeminent rated attorney and a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.® She represents employers in state and federal courts and agencies, as well as in enforcing and defending restrictive covenants. She works collaboratively with employer practices liability carriers and delivers pragmatic, focused, and empathetic counsel to her clients. She is also the host of a podcast on leadership, "Leadership, Simply Smarter." Vanessa is frequently called upon to provide crucial advice and counsel to clients facing challenging or crisis situations. She engages in employment risk assessment in the corporate due diligence process and training for Boards, including fiduciary duties on employee relations compliance.
