About Martin Foos
Partner, Foos & Lentz LLP Marty is a business lawyer and litigator. He has over twenty years of experience working with clients facing trade secret, class action, commercial, corporate, employment, and competitive issues. He successfully defended a chemical plant from a class action that was filed after part of the plant exploded, causing evacuations and other damages. He won at a jury trial, a rarity in class action cases, and won the argument before the Ohio Supreme Court: http://www.ohiochannel.org/video/case-no-2009-0305-christine-banford-et-al-v-aldrich-chemical-inc-et-al. In 2015, Marty became the Chair of the Litigation Section Council of the Ohio State Bar Association, a 2500-member group of litigation attorneys. In this role, he is one of three founders of the Ohio Civil Justice Reform Task Force, which has as its goal the task of proposing specific procedural changes to achieve better cost effectiveness in litigation in Ohio. Marty served as President of the Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court from 2009-2011. Marty has also been active with the Notre Dame Alumni Association, serving on its national board from 2013-2016. He is active with the St. Anne’s Hill Historic Society and the Dayton Liederkranz-Turner.
