Damion Clifford

I am a tireless litigator who thrives in the courtroom environment. I have significant first and second chair jury trial experience in representing both plaintiffs and defendants in business litigation disputes in state and federal courts. I have also handled matters before the American Arbitration Association. I am well skilled in handling all phases of litigation including drafting complaints, answers, and counterclaims; preparing and responding to discovery; taking and defending depositions; conducting settlement negotiations; and preparing and attending trial. I also use my passion for litigation to defend individuals and businesses before the Ohio Department of Taxation and the Ohio Attorney General’s Office predominately relating to sales tax assessments. I routinely advise both small and large businesses in managing their day-to-day operations. For example, I have handled non-compete agreements, employment contracts, cease and desist letters, workers’ compensation disputes, and unemployment compensation claims for my clients. I also have significant appellate experience in preparing briefs and arguing on numerous occasions before various Ohio Appellate Courts and the Ohio Supreme Court. I also devote a portion of my practice representing licensees before various state agencies throughout Ohio including the State Medical Board of Ohio, the State Pharmacy Board, the Ohio Nursing Board, and the Ohio Department of Insurance.
