Patrick Maguire

Mr. Maguire is the founding partner of Maguire Schneider Hassay, LLP. He practices in the areas of civil and criminal litigation in state and federal courts. Mr. Maguire has litigated cases involving insurance coverage, consumer law, non-compete agreements, and negligence including the resolution of personal injury cases in excess of one million dollars. Mr. Maguire is a former Senior Assistant in the office of the Franklin County Prosecutor where he served on the felony trial staff. While there he successfully prosecuted many of the early Drug Courier Profile cases in Franklin County. As director of the Child Support Enforcement Division he lectured on various aspects of support recovery law at state and national seminars. He litigated the first case in Ohio utilizing HLA blood testing technology in the identification of biological parents. Upon leaving the Prosecutor’s office, he was appointed Special Prosecutor in a grand jury investigation of the top law enforcement official of an Ohio county. Mr. Maguire has lectured on various insurance law topics and worked as an Instructor for Columbus State Community College in Business Law and Advanced Litigation for Paralegals.
