Tyack James P. Tyack is a partner at Tyack Law. His primary practice areas are criminal defense, civil litigation, personal injury/negligence, accidents and appeals. Mr. Tyack holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Denison University, with a concentration in History, and a J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Mr. Tyack was named Best Lawyers’ 2017 Columbus, OH Criminal Defense: General Practice “Lawyer of the Year,” and “Columbus CEO Top Lawyer, 2015” by Columbus CEO Magazine in the area of personal injury law. Mr. Tyack was also recognized as an “Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Star” from 2007–2013, an “Ohio Super Lawyer” from 2014 to the present, and a “Best Lawyers in America: Non-White Collar Criminal Defense” from 2013 to the present. As a proud member of the third generation of the family business, Jamie is a member of several professional associations, including the American Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, and the Columbus Bar Association. As a member of the Columbus Bar Association, Mr. Tyack served as a member of the Ethics Committee for six years, and has been a member of the Judicial Screening Committee since 2007, including the Chairperson of the Committee in 2016 and 2017.
