Richard Glovsky

Employment: Previously, seven years with the United States Department of Justice (two years in Washington at the Office of Legal Counsel and five years as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts, where as Chief of the Civil Division, he was responsible for all civil litigation involving the United States in Massachusetts); recruited to Edwards, Angell, Palmer & Dodge (now Locke Lord LLP) in May of 2011. Specialties: Employment law and related litigation, including thefts of trade secrets; disputes involving non-compete and non-solicitation agreements; wage and hour class actions; and allegations of discrimination and retaliation. Also, employment and severance agreements, including those for public companies, and various company handbooks and policies dealing with employee conduct. Also handled numerous commercial litigation matters, including class actions, and represented companies having issues in many foreign jurisdictions. Conducted the first evidentiary hearing relating to class certification. Represents a diverse range of business entities, including a number of financial services, pharmaceutical and healthcare clients. Has authored numerous publications, including Locke Lord QuickStudies, the comprehensive Lexis Practice Advisor chapter on Massachusetts employment law, and numerous articles on the full range of COVID-19 workplace issues. LexisNexis recently featured him in a video addressing how employers can avoid harassment claims.
