Jay Weinberg

I graduated from Trenton State College, now known as the College of New Jersey, in 1983, and obtained my Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers Law School in 1989. I was admitted in 1989 to practice law in the State of New Jersey and Pennsylvania.I established the Law Office of Jay A. Weinberg in 1996. I am currently admitted to the New Jersey Bar and can appear as counsel in any State, for particular occasions. Over the course of my 25 year legal career, I have appeared in the United States Federal Court located in Newark, Trenton and Camden, in New Jersey State Courts in almost every County in New Jersey, and Municipal Courts throughout the State. I served as a private prosecutor for a number of corporations for ten years in seven municipal courts. Over the course of two decades I have appeared in Court over 1,000 times. I am also counsel for the Asian American Law Enforcement Association – NJ, and the Federal Air Marshals.My approach to law is pragmatic – give each client excellent service and do an excellent job. I practice with a commitment to the client, but also to myself and to the legal profession. Clients deserve focused, accountable, knowledgeable representation. Hard work makes these goals easier to achieve, and I strive to give each client the best possible representation and obtain the best results they can hope for.I am married with two children. Outside of law, and my commitment to my family and close friends, I have been an avid martial artist. I diligently studied kung fu in the 1980’s, obtained the rank of black belt in two styles of Japanese Karate and am currently most actively training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
