Joan Hartley

I practice law at Nexsen Pruet in the environmental and real estate groups. I work with developers, manufacturers, retailers, and industrial clients in all phases of environmental representation. I guide my clients through environmental concerns in the siting, permitting, and operation of industrial, manufacturing, service, or research and development facilities, the purchase of and lending for commercial or industrial properties, and environmental insurance coverage litigation. By way of background, I earned my undergraduate degree in history, summa cum laude, from USC-Aiken. I worked in the waste management industry before attending the University of South Carolina School of Law, where I received my J.D., cum laude, in 2004.
