Michael Rousseaux

I have 30 years of litigation experience, including acting as first chair/lead trial counsel in District and Superior Courts located throughout North Carolina. I also have been counsel of record in cases appealed to the U.S. Court of Appeals (4th Circuit), and have briefed and argued cases before the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court.Approximately 10 years of my experience was gained by handling a variety of claims as an Insurance Defense Attorney. During these years, my primary focus was defending claims made against individual and corporate clients. These claims included complex litigation involving personal injury, property damage, product liability, construction, premises liability and wrongful death. I handled a variety of commercial litigation and construction claims brought against building contractors. Additionally, I regularly represented national and regional retail stores in the defense of premises liability claims/suits, and advised these clients on risk reduction measures and advised them regarding the likelihood and amount of risk/damage exposure.For the last 20+ years, I have focused my practice on representing victims (and families of victims) of accidents resulting in catastrophic personal injury and/or death. The majority of these cases arose from medical negligence or motor vehicle collisions, whether they involve tractor trailer trucks or cars.
