I have been involved in NC workers' compensation since 1993. I was at the Industrial Commission for 10 years, from 1993-2003, becoming a deputy commissioner in 1997. After leaving the Commission, I worked for a plaintiffs' firm for one year. Since 2004 I have been at my present firm representing employers and insurance companies/TPAs in workers' compensation matters. I have been board certified by the NC State Bar as a workers' compensation specialist since 2003, and I am a certified mediator. I have been AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell for many years, and have been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® in the field of Workers' Compensation Law - Employers since 2018. My strength is in settling and resolving claims on behalf of my clients. I love going to court but I believe it serves my client better to resolve claims prior to going to hearing.
