About David Dietrich
Specialist in many aspects of real estate, commercial and estate planning problems, with 31 years of wide ranging practical experience, including water rights, oil and gas, conservation easements and ranch purchases and sales. Also works with business succession tax planning, related litigation and conflict resolution. David is the 2015-2016 Chair of the Trust and Estates Division of the American Bar Association's Real Property, Trust and Estates Law Section, a 20,000 national lawyer organization. David is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, one of 15 in Montana. He is a past Co-Chair of the ABA’s Property Preservation Task Force, and played a crucial role in the Uniform Law Commission’s adoption of the Uniform Partition of Heirs Property Act. David serves on the University of Montana Tax Institute Advisory Committee and the Board of Visitors for the University of Montana Law School.
