Ray Garrett

I am a name partner with the law firm of Garrett, Friday & Garner, PLLC which is based in Oxford, Mississippi. My practice focuses on the representation of individual clients in the areas of criminal defense, family law, personal injury and real property litigation. As we are located in a college town I have extensive experience in the area of DUI defense having completed the National College of DUI Defense in 1998 so as to be better able to represent my DUI clients.I graduated from Ole Miss in 1990 earning a bachelor's degree with a triple major in history, English and political science. I then enrolled in the J.D. / M.B.A. program at Ole Miss graduating with my law degree and Masters in Business Administration in 1995, After taking the bar and being admitted to practice in Mississippi I opened the Law Offices of Ray Garrett in Oxford in the fall of 1995. I also taught classes in the Legal Environment of Business at Ole Miss as well as having taught several classes at Northwest Mississippi Community College in Real Estate Law, Legal Environment and Business Speech.In 2001 Meredith Singleton Friday and I formed the law firm of Garrett & Friday, PLLC. Meredith concentrates her portion of our practice almost exclusively in the area of small business representation and represents clients throughout the state of Mississippi. In 2006 Rebecca Bond Garner who had been an associated with our firm since its inception in 2001 became our third name partner and our firm became and remains Garrett, Friday & Garner, PLLC. Rebecca focuses her practice in the in the areas of real estate closings, probate matters, real property litigation and personal injury. My goal as an attorney is to provide effective representation with individual and personal attention given to each of my clients. I also enjoy public speaking and I am available to speak as a layperson to religious groups,and to student or civic organizations on legal, governmental or patriotic topics.
