In June 2012, I presented at the National Business Institute’s Advanced Estate Planning Techniques seminar. My presentation, “Current Planning Opportunities: Estate and Gift Tax Law,” detailed various sophisticated planning techniques, such as the effective use of annual exclusion and lifetime exemption gifting, the creation of Grantor Retained Annuity Trusts and Grantor Trusts, and planning with family business and investment entities.
