Matthew Nagel

I'm a personable, accessible and litigator and business adviser who has accumulated a wealth of trial and corporate law experience through nearly 15 years of private practice. In 2013, I founded and managed by own firm, where I managed a team of professionals focused on personal injury, workers compensation and business law. During my legal career, I've worked diligently to build a reputation among my peers, business owners and other entrepreneurs as an attorney who can deliver. Whether I am negotiating high-stakes contracts, finding creative ways to resolve business issues, or advocating in the courtroom, I successfully distill complex legal concepts into concise, simple explanations that my clients can act upon. I always strive to maintain a calm, collected, and customer-focused demeanor. I love helping people and solving problems; after all, the legal system exists to help people in difficult times. I've worked on a wide variety of issues, including intellectual property development and licensing, insurance coverage disputes, work comp, construction defect , personal injury and sports and entertainment matters. Within these practice areas, I have first chaired numerous jury trials and bench trials, prepared and argued motions on hundreds of cases, and have zealously advocated for clients in State and Federal Courts. I’ve also provided corporate counsel for a variety of clients ranging from cake shops to particle physicists and professional athletes. For instance, I recently negotiated a grant contract with the United States BSEE, following a successful patent licensing deal with the U.S. Department of Natural Resources over a new environmental technology. Throughout my career I have provided pro bono assistance to a variety of nonprofits and law-income clients. Recently, I’ve had the honor of serving on the Board of Directors for the Jane Doe Advocacy Center, which provides legal services and education to survivors of sexual violence.
