John Nale

John is a graduate of the University of Maine at Orono and University of New Hampshire School of Law. He is a practicing Maine elder law attorney with offices in Waterville. He now serves on the Maine Council on Aging, is a member of the Maine Gerontoligical Society, and serves as Co-Chair of the Legislative Affairs Committee of the Maine State Bar Association Elder Law Section. He has served as past President (2007-2013) of the Maine Association of Area Agencies on Aging (M4A), and is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Lakewood Rehabilitation Center. He is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and has been recognized by the Maine Supreme Judicial Court with the Katahdin Counsel Award for providing pro bono services to Maine's elderly. In 2010, John was selected Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce's Outstanding Professional. John speaks frequently to professional and community groups regarding long term care planning, estate planning, advance directives and MaineCare/Medicaid planning.
