I have 25 years of experience providing legal advice and counseling to investment advisers, municipal and securities broker-dealers, mutual funds, and insurance companies with expertise in conducting investigations (both internal and external), inspections, examinations and audits, and establishing, supervising and monitoring compliance and risk management programs (including developing written compliance policies and procedures, monitoring such, and assessing their effectiveness). I am responsive to a variety of demands and I operate with a high level of energy and enthusiasm taking a practical approach to solving problems and openly communicating things as I see them. I am friendly, open and direct with people (diplomatic although straightforward), logical and objective, energetic and decisive, and I view my staff as equals whose consensus thinking provides solutions. Most recently I served as Assistant Vice President, Assistant Secretary, and Assistant General Counsel at Calvert Investments, Inc. from April 2005 to September 2015.I hold a Juris Doctor degree in Law from Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Texas Southern University and I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science from Tennessee State University.
