So, a little bit about me... First and foremost, I am an optometrist. I’ve been many things… a fry cook, a gas station attendant, a camp counselor, even a construction worker for about 3 days! But optometry was and is my chosen profession, and I practiced it faithfully with the highest clinical standards for over 30 years, while helping to educate and prepare generations of new optometrists, many who have gone on to be far more successful than myself. And that is the thing of which I am most proud. 🥲 After COVID turned our world upside-down in 2020, I decided it was time for a change. I retired from teaching and clinical practice in an effort to try an entirely new career path. And hence I entered the wonderful world of medical affairs. Along the way I’ve continued to hold myself to the highest standards, pursuing scientific and medical discovery with the utmost rigor while trying always to provide the most complete and accurate information regarding assets for which I’m responsible. Most importantly, I’ve always strived to maintain honest, friendly and open relationships with my peers and colleagues, as those relationships are the core to any successful business or endeavor. My work style is collaborative, but I'm a perfectionist on anything that carries my name, and so I often take on quite a bit of work. Finally, I'm "old school". While I enjoy the freedom of remote interaction, there's nothing like a face-to-face meeting to establish or reinforce a relationship, convey a message, and gain the insights that drive our organizations to excel.
