About Edward Neufville
At his own firm in Silver Spring, Maryland, Edward W. Neufville III provides crisis lawyering and management to organizations, businesses and individuals within the U.S. immigration law context. He has successfully represented clients in high-stakes and complex U.S. immigration matters ranging from U.S. federal litigation, business, and family immigration, and United States citizenship matters. In 2007, Neufville Law spearheaded changes to the U.S. Patriot Act by successfully challenging the broad application of the U.S. Patriot Act by the Department of Homeland Security. The United States Congress amended U.S. immigration law to allow Neufville Law’s clients to gain asylum protection in the United States. A former immigrant who endured civil war and represented Liberia in the 1996 Olympic games (Atlanta, GA), Mr. Neufville's record of overcoming massive obstacles to achieve success is carried through in his work. After obtaining his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1999, Mr. Neufville earned his J.D. from the Washington and Lee University School of Law. Featured on NPR's "All Things Considered" as an authority on anti-terrorism laws, he has contributed to several webinars and authored multiple pieces for the Maryland State Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
