Sharon T. Diamant began her career as a prosecutor with the Montgomery County States Attorneys Office. In the District Court, she handled misdemeanors, including drug offenses, drunk driving, hit and run, assaults, bad checks, violations of probation and other crimes. In the Juvenile Division, Sharon handled sexual offenses and crimes against children. She was involved in one case involving a juvenile sex offender that resulted in a sex offender Registry for juvenile offenders. In the Circuit Court, Sharon was on the Special Proceedings Team, where she handled financial crimes, embezzlement, large - scale thefts and crimes committed by public officials. In 2010, Sharon went into private practice and has focused her practice on divorce, child custody, child support, peace and protective orders and criminal defense. Sharon is licensed to practice law in Maryland, Florida, the United States Federal Court in Greenbelt, and the United States Supreme Court. She has been named to Maryland's Super Lawyers list every year from 2015-2026. She is rated as an A-V Preeminent Attorney by Martindale Hubbell. Sharon is a licensed mediator and has done training to be a best interest attorney for children as well as a Guardianship Attorney. She is a member of the Sobeloff Society, the Montgomery County Bar, the Judicial Nominating Commission, the Inns of Court, the Women's Bar Association, the Montgomery County Ethics Commission and has been a guest lecturer at Montgomery College.
