Nathan Baker

I am a partner in the Labor & Employment department of Barnes & Thornburg LLP and have been with the firm since I was a summer associate back in 1996. I work out of our Indianapolis office but have the privilege of serving clients all across the country. My practice is focused on the management/employer side and allows me to work closely with clients of all sizes and industries with almost every aspect of their relationships with their employees - from day to day counseling to all types of employment litigation to supervisory training (and almost everything in between). I have also had the chance to spend a great deal of my time working with clients in the traditional labor arena - ranging from helping keep clients union-free to working with other unionized clients in contract negotiations and grievance arbitrations. One of the best parts of my job is that it gives me the opportunity to get out and see how our clients actually make their products or service their customers - a definite perk is that companies of all types have employees (and thus employment issues) so I have chance to the work with people from all walks of life.
