Samantha Huettner

I am a Partner and Attorney at Brown Carrington, PLLC, where I devote my practice to helping clients tell their stories and problem-solve their legal issues, offering practical advice, guidance, and strong advocacy for families and individuals. I handle a wide range of family, civil, and corporate matters. I am a domestic relations mediator, a trained collaborative divorce professional, and a member of the Central Indiana Association of Collaborative Professionals. I love learning and talking about the law and often write about emerging legal trends- particularly those that impact my clients. The American Psychiatric Association recently published my book, Divorce & Co-Parenting: A Support Guide for the Modern Family, which I co-authored with a child psychiatrist. I have also published extensively on civil, business, and family law issues, and my articles often appear in the Indiana Civil Litigation Review (a legal journal) and the Indiana Lawyer (a sibling publication to the Indiana Business Journal). During law school, I clerked for the Honorable Judge Frances G. Hill in Bloomington, Indiana, and then worked for civil litigation firms, where I focused my practice on complex commercial litigation, insurance defense, and family law. While in Bloomington, I served as a temporary paternity court judge. I enjoy a state and federal court practice and am admitted to practice law before all Indiana state trial courts, the Indiana Court of Appeals, the Indiana Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. My husband and I live in Indianapolis with our toddler and five dogs.
