Agnes Olechno

Agnes (Zielinski) Olechno combines her skill as a courtroom litigator, her experience as a child advocate, and her compassion for families in transition to advocate for her clients and their families. Agnes graduated from Loyola University Chicago where she received two Bachelor of Arts degree’s Magna Cum Laude in Political Science and International Studies, and a Bachelor of Science Magna Cum Laude in Criminal Justice. While at Loyola, Agnes made the Dean’s List and received the Dean Charles Hart Award for Academic Excellence and Damen Award for Outstanding Leadership and Service. During college, Agnes also interned with the Cook County Public Defender’s Office where she assisted with criminal law cases. As recipient of Loyola’s Civitas Child Law Fellowship and the Child and Family Law Certificate, Agnes received her law degree (J.D.) Cum Laude from Loyola University School of Law. While in law school, Agnes received a CALI Award for the highest grade in Loyola’s Civitas ChildLaw Clinic, the Public Interest Recognition Award, and Leadership and Service Recognition Award. In addition, she participated as Junior Editor for the Children’s Legal Rights Journal and as Coordinator for Law Related Education. Throughout law school, Agnes sharpened her practice skills by serving as a Law Clerk for several family law firms and the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office. Agnes also developed her litigation skills as a student attorney for Loyola’s Civitas ChildLaw Clinic, including work on complex visitation matters as a child representative. Following her graduation from law school, she was awarded a postgraduate fellowship at the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic where she worked on behalf of victims and assisted them in creating a new life from their abusers. Agnes is bilingual and prepared to provide services to Polish speaking clients.
