Rachael Toft

Rachael Toft is a graduate of Illinois State University and University of Iowa College of Law. She is the principal of Law Offices of Rachael Toft. Her practice includes: adoptions, divorces, allocation of parental responsibility (custody), and child support matters. She serves as a section council member of the Illinois State Bar Association (Family Law Section) and the Illinois State Bar Association Standing Committee on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity. Rachael is also active with the Chicago Bar Association and Women's Bar Association of Illinois. Rachael volunteers with the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services Foundation on adoption and as a child representative. She has been the Co-Chair of Women Everywhere: Partners in Service for the past 3 years and currently serves on the Board of Directors. Rachael serves as appointed indigent counsel in termination of parental rights proceedings. Rachael has been named a Rising Star by Illinois SuperLawyers for 2010, 2012-2019 and Emerging Lawyer in Adoption & Reproductive Technology and Family Law by Leading Lawyers from 2015-2019. Rachael has a certificate in Collaborative Law Practice and Divorce Mediation. Specialties: The Supreme Court of Illinois does not recognize certifications of specialties in the practice of law and I do not hold myself out as a specialist. However, I do concentrate my areas of practice in Adoption, Divorce, Child Support, and Child Custody.
