Stephen Komie is perhaps best known for involvement in high-profile criminal and civil litigation matters. Mr. Komie is highly regarded for his skill before judges and juries alike. The acquittals in the celebrated trials of Shawn Dunn for mail and wire fraud, John Carroccia & Rolland Breault for murder, Brendan Nolan for sale and distribution of drugs, Casey Kalicki for incest, Sandra Fabiano for child sexual abuse, and judges for DUI were widely reported in the media. Mr. Komie’s career has spanned over 40 years of litigation, representing thousands of ordinary persons, the clergy, and corporations before the courts of Illinois, the United States, and international tribunals. His success has been measured by acquittals, large verdicts, successful appeals, and a winning record on administrative review. Internationally Stephen Komie has represented the Illinois State Bar Association at the re-dedication of MAGNA CARTA on its 800th anniversary and was the International Bar Association's NGO Delegate to the Hague Convention on International Child Abduction.
