Samuel Castree

Samuel J. Castree, Jr. is Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Staff Management, Inc., a multi-state certified professional employer organization, and human resource management consulting and outsourcing firm. His responsibilities include those of chief legal officer and management of the firm's human resource outsourcing services. He has evaluated and established procedures and policies for labor and employment law risk management and compliance, including EEO, FLSA, FMLA, and ERISA reporting and disclosure. He has developed and implemented numerous HR consulting projects, including human resource/employment law audits, harassment training, and management training programs. Mr. Castree has conducted numerous workplace investigations for employers, including sexual harassment and other workplace misconduct investigations. He is responsible for non-competition and other employment related contracts, as well as general corporate related issues. A valued counselor for difficult HR issues, his labor and employment law background combined with practical HR experience provide exceptional solutions for the firms internal and external business and HR partners. While in the private practice of law, he counseled employers on a full range of labor and employment law issues and policies. Mr. Castree represented employers in State and Federal courts, in labor-management arbitration, and before administrative agencies. He is also a frequent speaker and trainer on labor and employment law topics, having spoken before regional, state-wide and local organizations, as well as numerous in-house and company sponsored seminars and training sessions.
