Mark Brynteson

Mark Brynteson is an accomplished personal injury and transactional attorney, as well as a seasoned businessman. He earned his Bachelor’s and graduate degrees in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry in 1980, followed by his Juris Doctor in 1989. After graduating from law school, he co-founded his own law firm with two colleagues and has been actively practicing law for over 35 years. Early in his career, Mark distinguished himself as an outstanding trial lawyer in the Tidewater region of Virginia. In his first year of practice, he played a key role on a litigation team that secured a $5 million wrongful death verdict in the Chesapeake Circuit Court. Since then, he has continued to achieve successful outcomes for his clients, with total recoveries exceeding $40 million. Mark also represents not-for-profit organizations. He served as Chief Operating Officer and Acting Chief Financial Officer for two large, multi-million-dollar NFPs over an eight-year period. One organization operated two radio stations, six HUD Section 202 retirement communities, and a K–12 school. The other produced and aired weekly television and radio programs across multiple media outlets. During his tenure, Mark implemented risk management programs that enhanced client safety and reduced annual insurance premiums by $25,000. In addition, Mark works extensively with buyers and sellers of residential real estate. He understands that these transactions involve significant financial investment and risk, and that the process can often be complex and confusing. He is committed to giving each transaction his full attention and to responding promptly to client calls and emails. Mark also provides estate planning services to the public. He assists individuals with a wide range of planning needs, from the preparation of wills to the creation of trusts, always with a personal and thoughtful approach.
