Josh Heidelman

Castañeda + Heidelman LLP is a boutique law firm with a national presence primarily serving middle-market businesses and large nonprofits. Practice areas include: - Employment (counseling, compliance, and litigation) - Business disputes and litigation - International representation and compliance - Serving as Outside General Counsel for companies without an in-house GC I began my legal career as a business litigator, practicing at two different AmLaw 100 firms. My case load included a variety of complex commercial litigation matters including employment and trade secrets, cross border disputes, intellectual property, and customs matters. I been involved in nearly every aspect of litigation, including serving as lead trial counsel in federal court and being the primary draftsperson on appellate briefs. Following several years of large firm practice, I took a role as in-house General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for a major global nonprofit. In that role I served on the Executive Leadership Team, worked extensively with the Board of Directors, and eventually had all of HR and benefits under my leadership purview alongside legal. In 2021, I formed Castañeda + Heidelman LLP with my close law school friend, Juan Castañeda. Our thesis was, and is, that we can bring together lawyers with deep experience, excellent credentials, and high integrity to serve companies and large nonprofits from a boutique platform. Our partners’ experience includes Biglaw, in-house GC roles, and work for the DOJ.
