About Denise Elliott
Denise represents private and public employers before state and federal courts, arbitrators, administrative law judges (such as workers’ compensation judges and unemployment compensation referees) and administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission. Denise also provides proactive counseling and training to employers to help them avoid litigation and aids employers in investigating allegations of sexual harassment, discrimination and other incidents of workplace misconduct. Denise understands the interplay between workers compensation laws, the ADA, the FMLA and unemployment compensation and helps employers navigate the complex web these laws often create. Denise is a a member and past chair of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Lancaster Bar Association and is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and before the Supreme Court of the United States and the Federal District Courts in the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania. Volunteer Experience: Former member and Chair of the Board of Directors for the Hands-On House Children's Museum; member of the Personnel Committee for Southeast Lancaster Health Services; graduate of the 2009 Leadership Lancaster Core Class; member of the Leadership Lancaster Program Committee; former coach for Girls on the Run; classroom volunteer for Junior Achievement; facilitator and mentor for the Young Women's Future's Symposium; Board Member St. Anne's School Concentrations: Employment Law, Workers' Compensation (defense) and Property Tax Assessment
