About A. Fitzpatrick
I am a labor and employment partner at Morgan Lewis, where I advise employers on sensitive and high-stakes workplace matters, with a particular focus on internal investigations involving allegations of employment discrimination and workplace misconduct. My investigations experience includes matters arising from claims of harassment, retaliation, pay equity issues, disability accommodation, and whistleblower allegations.I regularly counsel employers and defend them in litigation involving Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Equal Pay Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as whistleblower statutes including Sarbanes-Oxley, Dodd-Frank, and the False Claims Act. My work often involves guiding organizations through complex fact development, risk assessment, and remediation, as well as defending employers when these matters result in contested proceedings.I defend employers in complex employment litigation, including whistleblower actions, class and collective cases alleging systemic discrimination, ERISA claims, and multi-plaintiff matters. I work closely with in-house legal and HR teams to develop practical, thoughtful strategies that address legal risk while aligning with business objectives and organizational values.In addition to my client work, I serve as the Office Practice Group Leader for the Philadelphia Labor and Employment group and am a member of Morgan Lewis’s Parent Lawyer Network. I am also active in pro bono and community-focused initiatives and serve on the board of Legacy Youth Tennis and Education.I value clear communication, sound judgment, and collaborative problem-solving, and I am proud to be part of a global firm known for its depth, reach, and thought leadership.
