About Daniel Finegan
I represent insurers, businesses, local governments and individuals regarding claims, disputes and lawsuits in PA and NJ. I have extensive pre-trial and trial experience regarding matters involving: complex personal injuries, including catastrophic injury and death; professional liability; sexual assault; property damage; economic loss; product defect/malfunction; employment-related injuries and losses; insurance; and business and contract disputes. I have tried more than 50 cases to verdict, and have represented clients in hundreds of pre-trial proceedings, mediations and arbitrations. I have successfully represented clients in matters involving: - professional liability; - sexual assault; - employment-related injuries and losses; - operation/use of autos, trucks, planes and aviation equipment, and construction vehicles and equipment; - product failure/malfunction, including involving manufacturing equipment and consumer goods; - product failure or malfunction; - inspection, maintenance and operation of facilities, including hotels/motels, swimming pools, recreational facilities, schools and businesses; - service of alcohol; - civil rights, under both state and federal law; and - consumer protection and unfair trade practice laws. In addition to the above matters, my work for insurers and insureds includes: - investigation and defense of professional liability, sexual assault and product defect/malfunction claims; - investigation of losses, including via examinations under oath, preservation of information/evidence, and coordination with investigating authorities and experts; - defense of claims for uninsured/underinsured motorist benefits; - defense of claims alleging bad faith and failure to honor coverage obligations; and - subrogation recovery for property damage and economic losses, including business interruption.
