About Benjamin Wagner
Benjamin S. Wagner graduated magna cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2003 and also received the Phillips Owens Memorial Scholarship for outstanding academic achievement and community service. Due to his significant trial experience and success, he has been certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He has been listed annually in the Best Lawyers in America editions since 2012. In 2023, Benjamin was inducted as a Fellow in the prestigious International Academy of Trial Lawyers (IATL). IATL was founded in 1954 and is regarded as the most prestigious organization of trial lawyers in the world. The membership is by invitation only and is limited to 500 Fellows at any given time. Benjamin was awarded the 2021 and 2025 Robert L. Habush Trial Lawyer of the Year Award from the Wisconsin Association for Justice. This prestigious award recognized his outstanding abilities to litigate complex claims before a jury and mentor the next generation of trial attorneys. In 2025, the award honored his precedent setting, multi-million punitive damages jury verdict against a Memory Care Facility in his pursuit for justice on behalf of the family who lost their Mom due to severe neglect. He served as a Past President of the Wisconsin Association for Justice (2017), the largest voluntary bar organization in Wisconsin and has served as Chair of the Association's Justice fund since 2018. In 2019, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers appointed Benjamin to serve on his Judicial Selection Advisory Committee, which helps the Governor interview and recommend candidates for State Judicial appointments. In 2023, the Governor appointed Bejamin to co-chair this Committee, Benjamin is on the Board of Directors for several organizations: The Milwaukee Rep, Discovery World, and the Neuroscience Research Center for the Medical College of Wisconsin (Chair). Milwaukee. Benjamin’s passion for protecting people’s rights stems from his family background in legal and medical professions. Benjamin is a former Board of Director of the Milwaukee World Festival, Inc., Safe and Sound of Milwaukee, JFS of Milwaukee, Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee, and the Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee. In 2016, Benjamin was recognized by the Milwaukee Business Journal as one of the “40 Under 40” and the Wisconsin Law Journal named him a “Leader in the Law” in the same year. He has been listed annually in Best Lawyers in America since 2012, including the most recent edition in 2025, for personal injury litigation.
